Chain Production Process
Selecting Material
We purchase high quality iron rods from our suppliers in advance of manufacturing. These are selected based upon order specifications such as thickness, length and weight.
Wire Drawing
The rods are cleaned to remove impurities, rust or scale. The rods are then drawn throw several dies, which reduces thickness and increases length by pulling the workpiece through a calibrated hole of a conical die.
Cutting
The drawn wire is then cut into uniform lengths using advanced techniques. After that we measure the size to make sure they are of correct length for the chain we are producing.
Forming
These drawn wires are shaped into oval or round individual chain link. This is done by bending the wire with force to change the contour of wire. Each link is inspected to check for uniformity and accuracy to make sure that it fits with next link. Throughout this process, each chain link is interconnected to obtain desired length.
Welding
The formed chain links are then passed through welding machine to fuse their ends. This ensure the durability and strength of the final product. Each weld is tested to avoid weak points in the chain.
Finishing
The assembled chain is then zinc coated. This assure it lasts long by preventing corrosion.
Quality Control
- Strength Testing: The final product is then tested to make sure it is strong enough to withstand tough conditions.
- Length Testing: The final product is also measured to guarantee consistent length for same category.
- Visual Inspection: The final product is also inspected to detect surface defects or any irregularities.
Packaging
The chain is then packaged into packets and is ready for sale.
